Every Wednesday, we open the doors at 5pm – time to settle in with food and drinks, and let the day slowly fall away.

Around 7pm, a rotating trio or quartet takes the room for a proper concert set. By 9pm, the lights get warmer and the jam begins, musicians dropping in, trading solos, stretching things out together until midnight.

Compass Rose takes over Moondog HiFi with a sapphic-centered night rooted in connection, expression, and deep musical intention. Featuring Vinylaura and Maddylane, the energy leans warm, fluid, and unapologetically dancefloor-driven, moving through global rhythms, groove, and late-night pulse with instinct and care.

A space by and for women, built on shared feeling and freedom of movement. Compass Rose sets the direction with the room moving as one.

Max Kulchinsky steps into Moondog with a sound shaped by deep musical knowledge and a lifetime around the culture. Pulling from soul, disco, house, and left-field cuts, his sets feel expansive but never unfocused; always guided by groove and intuition. Expect a fluid, open-ended session of warm textures, unexpected turns, and seamless blends that keep the room locked without ever forcing it.

DJ Amir (Amir Abdullah) makes his Moondog debut.

A true student of the game, Amir isn’t just a DJ, he’s a music historian, label head, and one of the original deep diggers whose work helped shape how DJs think about records today. From his early days as one half of Kon & Amir to running 180-Proof Records and uncovering the Strata catalog, his whole career has been built on finding meaning in the grooves most people miss.

Now based in Berlin, Amir brings decades of knowledge, taste, and serious crate pressure. His sets move through jazz, disco, soul, and beyond, connecting the dots in a way that feels effortless but runs deep.

This isn’t just digging, this is lived-in music.

Our monthly Moondub is back with Jay Prouty at the controls. Expect big bass, dusty records, rootsy rhythms, and dubwise vibes to make your soul sway. Strictly vinyl. Strictly vibes. Strictly irie.

Monofied approaches the booth as a curator of rhythm and mood. His sets at Moondog HiFi move fluidly through soul, house, funk, and deep, cosmic grooves, guided by warmth and feel rather than formula. Disco, house, UKG, and global rhythms surface along the way, all stitched together by emotional flow and dance-floor intuition.

Moondog HiFi Record Fair returns for a full day of digging, discovery, and deep listening.

From early afternoon into the evening, the room fills with crates from some of the best selectors and shops around—stacked with everything from rare finds to essential classics and left-field gems. Come to browse, trade, and get lost in the stacks, then stay as the music carries into the night with DJs keeping the floor warm. Vinyl lovers, collectors, and the curious all welcome!

Subway Sirius—aka Shawn Schwartz—brings a deep, transportive approach to the floor, threading together hypnotic rhythms, dubby textures, and left-field cuts with an intuitive, slow-burn touch. Rooted in curiosity and crate-digging instinct, his sets drift between shadowy house, psyched-out electronics, and unexpected moments of warmth, always dialed into the room.

A natural fit for Moondog’s system, expect a journey that unfolds patiently, pulling you further in with every turn.

Luchando Music & BeBop Porú bring a heavyweight vinyl face-off to Moondog: Egrem vs. Fania. From Havana’s storied grooves to New York’s salsa revolution, this night traces Afro-Cuban roots and Latin diaspora fire through two legendary catalogs—Egrem Records and Fania Records—served up with deep knowledge and dance-floor love.

Our space is deeply inspired by the life, music, and spirit of Moondog. A true original who lived outside convention, blended classical discipline with street-level poetry, and believed music should be heard with full attention. His story, his philosophy, and his sound are woven into the DNA of Moondog HiFi.

This special performance brings his world to life through piano works, vocal canons, and meditative pieces by Louis Hardin himself, alongside interpretations by Julian Calv. Expect hypnotic repetition, quiet intensity, and moments that feel timeless and grounding. Music that asks you to slow down, listen deeply, and be present.
